Black Men in White Coats Documentary Screening - Begins Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:00pm and is available through Thursday, February 25th: Less black men applied to medical school in 2014 than in 1978 and black men have the lowest life expectancy in the United States. With only 2% of American doctors being black men, this comes as no surprise. This documentary dissects the systemic barriers preventing black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences on society at large. Run time is 80 minutes. This screening will be available for three days only and can be watched anytime within this period. Register here for your unique viewing code.

Black Men in White Coats Documentary Discussion - Thursday, February 25th at 7:00pm: This discussion is designed to follow the Black Men in White Coats documentary screening. Register online to attend and receive further instructions!

Votes for Women: A History of the Suffrage Movement - Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30pm: The campaign for women's right to vote was a long one, from the 1848 Women's Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, New York to ratification of the 19th amendment in 1920. Who were the key players in New Hampshire and the nation? What issues and obstacles did they face? How did suffragists benefit from World War I in the final push for passage of the women's suffrage amendment? Who was left out when women got the right to vote? Using historic photos and documents, Liz Tentarelli will guide us on the journey. Liz is president of the League of Women Voters NH, a non-partisan organization that is the direct descendant of the National American Woman Suffrage Association.
